My coding journey began with a spark of curiosity when I was in 2nd grade. I remember getting my first cell phone and being mesmerized by the “Internet” icon. Back then, in the era of EDGE and 2G, just opening the browser felt like a distant dream. That excitement cost me once—accidentally using the internet drained my prepaid balance by 2000 rupees! But that experience planted the seed of curiosity that would guide my path toward becoming a developer.
In 4th grade, I got my first desktop computer with Windows XP. Like most kids, I started with games, but soon I was exploring the internet, discovering free website builders, and experimenting with HTML and CSS. I built my first web page using W3Schools’ tutorials, marking my first real steps in web development.
My passion grew, and I’d wake up as early as 5:30 AM to play games, explore new tech, and keep learning. Gaming didn’t just entertain me—it trained my logical thinking and problem-solving skills. One of my favorite multiplayer games was San Andreas Multiplayer, where I met friends from around the world. I played for hours each day and eventually became an administrator on one of the top servers. This experience introduced me to the Pawn scripting language, which inspired me to delve deeper into programming. Not only did I gain coding skills, but I also learned communication and leadership, thanks to the responsibilities I handled.
By the time I reached college, I was already a self-taught developer. My early experiences helped me excel in my courses, and I earned admission to Rollwala College, one of Gujarat’s top institutions for an MCA. My journey through college felt natural and fulfilling, thanks to the foundation I’d built as a kid.
After earning my BCA and MCA, I embarked on my career as a Magento developer. Over the years, I’ve grown into a full-stack developer, now skilled in Magento and recently adding GraphQL to my toolkit. In my free time, I’m working toward expanding my expertise, with React JS next on my list.
Looking back, I see a journey driven by pure curiosity, and I’m excited to keep learning and growing. If you’re on a similar path or want to connect, I’d love to hear from you!
