The future market

Apple seems to be focusing on the Indian market. In an effort to diversify its manufacturing facilities and reduce its reliance on China. After launching the iPhone 11 in India, Apple decided that other smartphones could be produced in the country in the future.

Reports speculate that Apple could start building 12 Series models in India by mid-2021. The products are expected to be produced at the new Narasapura plant in Bengaluru. Operated by Taiwanese contractor Wistron, an Apple company.

Apple Investment and Employment

The company is also reportedly able to invest around Rs 29 crore (about US $ 380 million), which is expected to employ 10,000 people. Although a new project is currently underway at the facility, the plant is expected to be operational within the next two months.

This factory is different from the factory used by Apple to assemble the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR models. Both smartphones are manufactured by Foxconn at the Chennai plant, which is expected to start production of the iPhone SE 2020 models this year.

If the iPhone 12 smartphones are made in India, the price will also be reduced, because since Apple will produce these products in India, there is no need to pay a 22% import tax on these devices (from China to India). To pay. It is noteworthy that the price of Apple iPhones in India is one of the highest in the world.

The official launch of the upcoming iPhone series has been postponed for several weeks, as Apple has pointed out. Reports indicate that the event could take place on October 12th, with bookings to be made as early as that week, and delivery of base models to begin one week after that date.

However, not all models are expected to be marketed together. According to reports, the iPhone 12 model itself will be available for purchase in October, but other models, including the iPhone 12 Pro, will be available in November.
