It all comes down to tonight. The Celebrity Traitors series 2 final airs on Friday 30 October 2026 at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. After a dramatic penultimate episode in which comedian James Acaster confessed and was banished, seven celebrities are left in the castle. Two of them are still Traitors. Here’s everything to know before the finale.
Quick answer: The final airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One. At 80 minutes it’s the longest Traitors episode ever, and it’s followed by a 40-minute Uncloaked special. The seven finalists are James Blunt, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft. Viewers know that Maya Jama and King Kenny are the remaining Traitors. If they survive, they take the whole charity pot.

What happened in episode 9: James Acaster’s confession
The penultimate episode on Thursday delivered one of the most talked-about moments of the series. James Acaster, a reluctant Traitor from the start, outed himself at the Round Table and was banished. Before his exit there were three Traitors and five Faithfuls in the game.
Speaking afterwards, Acaster said the final was better without him: “this is much better, isn’t it?” He explained his reasoning: “With three Traitors, it would have been a foregone conclusion that we were going to win.” His confession makes the endgame far more balanced. Two Traitors now face five Faithfuls, who know at least one more Traitor is among them.
How the final works
- One last murder. Maya Jama and King Kenny get one final chance to eliminate a Faithful.
- The final mission. Players compete to add money to the charity prize pot.
- The last Round Table. One more banishment. This time the banished player does not reveal whether they were a Traitor or a Faithful.
- The Fire Pit (endgame). Each player votes with a green pouch to end the game or a red pouch to banish another player. The game only ends when everyone votes to stop.
- The reveal. If only Faithfuls remain, they split the pot. If even one Traitor survives, the Traitors take everything.
The winners’ prize goes to their chosen charities, with up to £100,000 available.
The series so far: key moments
- Episode 2: Broadcaster Amol Rajan was the first celebrity murdered.
- Episode 3: Richard E. Grant, one of the original Traitors, was banished, along with Faithful Myha’la. Mathematician and broadcaster Hannah Fry was recruited as a Traitor.
- Episode 4: Bella Ramsey was murdered and Julie Hesmondhalgh was banished as a Faithful.
- Episode 9: James Acaster confessed and was banished, leaving Maya Jama and King Kenny as the last Traitors.
Can the Traitors win again?
In the first series of The Celebrity Traitors in 2025, Traitor Alan Carr won, taking £87,500 for charity. The series averaged more than 13 million viewers, which is why the BBC brought it back with an even bigger cast of 21 celebrities. Fans will be watching to see if Maya Jama and King Kenny can repeat Carr’s success, or whether the Faithfuls finally get it right.
