In the past few weeks Rockstar has confirmed exactly when you can download the game, when it unlocks in each region, and dropped 39 new screenshots, while Take-Two holds its last earnings call before release on November 9. 1. Pre-load opens November 10
Rockstar confirmed on its Newswire and support site that anyone who has pre-ordered a digital copy can start downloading the game nine days early, so it is ready to play the moment it unlocks. The timing is different on each console:
- PS5: pre-load begins at midnight local time on November 10 in your own time zone. In India that is 12:00 AM IST on November 10.
- Xbox Series X|S: pre-load begins at the same moment worldwide, 12 a.m. GMT on November 10. That is 5:30 AM IST on November 10, or 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on November 9 in North America.
Make room before then. Rockstar says the download can be up to 212 GB depending on your console. That’s more than half the storage of a 512 GB Xbox Series S. 2. When GTA 6 unlocks in your country
Rockstar’s support page states the game “will release midnight local time on November 19, 2026, in all regions”. That means it rolls out across the world over about 19 hours, starting in New Zealand. These are the unlock times reported from store listings (via GAMINGbible), converted to Indian time:

In the US and Canada, the store listing points to midnight Eastern for everyone. If that holds, West Coast players could start at 9 p.m. PT on November 18, but Rockstar hasn’t clarified this. Some fans plan to switch their console region to New Zealand to start early. That isn’t endorsed by Rockstar and can cause problems with purchases and accounts, so it’s best avoided.

3. Rockstar’s Launch Gallery: 39 new screenshots
On November 5, two weeks before release, Rockstar published a Launch Gallery on its official GTA VI site. It’s the biggest batch of images since the trailers. Coverage from outlets including PC Gamer, GameSpot and Push Square highlights:
- Jason and Lucia everywhere: roughly half the shots feature the two leads, during robberies, at home, on nights out and at the gym. One shows Lucia firing from a convertible while Jason drives.
- Vice City nightlife: packed club dance floors and a neon-lit dive bar called The Rusty Anchor.
- The wild side of Leonida: the Grassrivers swamps, including an airboat hunting alligators at night.

4. Justice is scoring GTA 6, and the album lands in December
Alongside the launch trailer on October 15, Rockstar revealed that the Grammy-winning French duo Justice (Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay) composed the game’s original score. The trailer featured their new track “Flower in a Hurricane”, which features Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
On October 29, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score by Justice, a 30-track album coming December 11 on streaming services, CD and vinyl. It released a second single the same day, “Pusher” featuring Gesaffelstein. This is separate from the licensed songs on the in-game radio. 5. Take-Two’s final earnings call before launch: November 9
Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, reports its quarterly results on November 9. The call is at 2:30 PM PT, which is 3:00 AM IST on November 10. It’s the last time the company will speak to investors before GTA 6 is out. What to watch for:
- Reaffirming the date: CEO Strauss Zelnick has repeatedly said the game is on track for November 19.
- Pre-order hints: Zelnick has described demand in glowing terms but hasn’t given hard sales numbers. Those are more likely after launch.

Fans also hope for one more trailer around the call, but nothing has been announced, so treat that as speculation.
6. Reviews, editions and price

- Physical copies are code-in-box versions that download the game, and retailers can sell them from November 12.
