What the launch trailer shows

The 90-second launch trailer was captured entirely in-game on PS5. It follows Jason and Lucia through a heist setup, bank robberies, highway chases, shootouts and quieter moments between the two. Lucia is seen wearing an ankle monitor, which suggests she is on parole when the story begins.

The trailer also debuted a new track, “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. It pulled in close to 14 million YouTube views within about eight hours, a sign of how big this launch will be.

Price and editions

  • Standard Edition ($79.99): the full single-player story. The physical version is a box with a download code, not a disc.
  • Ultimate Edition ($99.99, digital only): adds premium vehicles, custom pistols and revolvers, extra outfits and tattoos, and bonus story content.
  • Pre-order bonus: buying before 20 November includes the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital buyers get one month of GTA+.

At $79.99, GTA VI costs $10 more than the usual $69.99 price of a big console game. Indian prices on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store may differ from a straight conversion, so check your local store before you pre-order.

Is GTA VI coming to PC?

Not at launch. Rockstar has only confirmed PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. That follows its usual pattern: GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both reached PC months after their console releases. Reports point to early 2027 for a PC version, but nothing is official yet.

For India, where PC gaming is huge, this matters. If you plan to play on day one, you will need a PS5 or an Xbox Series X|S.

GTA VI timeline

  • December 2023: first trailer released.
  • May 2025: game delayed from its original 2025 window.
  • Late 2025: Rockstar confirms 19 November 2026.
  • 25 June 2026: pre-orders open worldwide.
  • October 2026: official launch trailer.
  • 12 November 2026: digital preload begins.

Should you pre-order?

Pre-ordering mainly gets you the bonus pack and lets you preload a few days early so you can play the moment it unlocks. Reports say review copies are going out at the end of October, so reviews may appear before launch. If you prefer to wait for reviews, you lose very little by holding off.
